I think in the first case the person has hurt your feelings because you yourself believe that you have a name that some people make fun of ... specially if you're young... so to have someone say that out loud is just ... Unbearable!

but in the second case you would just laugh along with them because you know that your name ( ehem from my point of view) is actually very cool and it doesnt matter what they say... you know that you have the best name!

so this time think twice before you start making fun of the GHOLIs that you see in the street!
